Thursday, 11/10 Still no grandson! :(

For those of you who haven't done this before with students, check out Activity 1 of Chapter 3! We are right smack dab between 2 meteor showers...the Taurids and the Leonids. In chapter 3, student research groups choose their method of collection of micrometeorites. We do the baggies and magnets together during class. I will place a couple of great identification sites in this blog. Good time to talk about the significance of comet debris and why they are so important to astronomers coming from outside our solar systems. This is also one of the "vehicles" that brings materials from supernovae, etc.
